5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE ADOPTING A DOG
Everyone loves to have a pet animal. Most people have a pet dog or a pet cat. People prefer buying dogs more than cats. Today I will tell you 5 things that you must follow before adopting a dog, buying a dog online, adopting a dog during covid times.
1. Buy your dog accessories in advance
Before you take your new dog home, make sure you have all the basic supplies. These include a dog collar, ID tag and rabies tag, food and water bowls (the bowls can be made of steel, glass, or ceramic preferred), a comfortable dog bed, and toys.
2. Create a safe home for your dog
Make your house a Dog-proof. Be sure, keep away things like a knife, toxic items, poisonous plants, plastic bags, and chemical cleaners. This will make your dog safe.
3. Be prepared for house training
The first time your dog comes to your house, they will not automatically know that the yard-not the house-is the appropriate place to… Do their business. It’s the responsibility of the owner to house train the dog. This will require a lot of time.
4. Make your dog exercise every day
Dogs have a lot of energy and need daily exercise. At least, you must take your dog for a walk every day to your local park and play some games with your dog. Some dogs require more exercise according to their breed.
5. Dogs generally get allergies
Due to the dog's long hair, they very quickly, get allergies on their skin. This can also decrease their life span. If your dog is having allergies, then you must take them to the doctor as soon as possible.
Buying a dog online
You can't buy a dog online but you must do some things to buy a dog.
1. Find a breed that suits you.
2. Talk to a breeder on the phone if that breed is good.
3. Go to a nearby pet shop and see that breed.
4. If you liked that breed, you can go for it.
Adopting a dog during covid times
In my opinion, one should not buy a dog during these pandemic times as these dogs require a lot of care and injections. If the dog suddenly gets infected with any disease or allergy, then you must take him to a vet, and going out of the house is a risky job. You might also get infected with Covid 19 if you go outside.
