Poverty is the state of having few material possessions or little income. Poverty can have diverse social, economic, and political causes and effects. Two-thirds of people in India live in poverty: 68.8% of the Indian population lives on less than $2 a day.

There are many challenges faced due to poverty.

1. India's hunger problem is driven by a high rate of child malnutrition.

2. Inadequate medical facilities contribute to a high infant mortality rate.

3. Parents cannot pay for their children's education, hence fewer children are enrolled in school.

4. Low birth weight infants have mental and physical impairments.

Living in poverty means a life of struggle and deprivation.

The World Bank Organization describes poverty: “Poverty is hunger. Poverty is a lack of shelter. Parents cannot afford school fees, and impoverished families need their children to work. People living in poverty often feel powerless to change their situation. They can feel isolated from their community.

  1. It’s heartbreaking to see how poverty limits access to education in so many communities. When families can’t afford school fees children miss out on opportunities that could change their future. Online learning has opened some doors, though. I’ve seen a lot of people trying to upgrade their skills through flexible study options. Some even look for services like take my online course when they’re overwhelmed It just shows how important support systems are.
