Worst Pandemics In History

Hi Everyone, Trust you are well in these pandemic times. 

Like Covid-19, many deadly viruses have finished half of the population of the world. 


Today, I will talk about 5 of the worst pandemics and epidemics in history finished half of the population of the world. 

1. Marburg virus



This virus was born in 1967 when a small breakout occurred in the lab workers in a lab of Germany. This virus came in human beings from infected monkeys who came from Uganda. This virus is the same as the Ebola virus. The symptoms of this virus are fever, headache, sore throat, myalgia, arthralgia, epigastric pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. 

2. Ebola virus 



This virus started in 2014 and ended in 2016. This outbreak occurred in West Africa. More than 11,000 people died during this outbreak. This virus was also carried by bats and is transmitted by other animals, such as primates who transmit it into human beings. Its symptoms include fever, fatigue, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, impaired kidney and liver function, and internal and external bleeding.

3. Lassa fever virus



This virus was discovered in 1969. Its symptoms are fever, general weakness, malaise, headache, sore throat, muscle pain, chest pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cough, and abdominal pain. The disease can also be spread via inhalation of air contaminated with infected rodent secretions. Human beings get infected with this disease mostly with the urine of Mastomys rats. About 80% of people who become infected with Lassa virus have no symptoms.

4. SARS-CoV



This virus first appeared in 2002 in the Guangdong province of southern China, according to WHO. This virus also started spreading from bats. This virus spread in 26 countries around the world. Its symptoms are fever, chills and body aches, and often progresses to pneumonia, a severe condition in which the lungs become inflamed and fill with pus.

5.  Spanish flu



This is the worst flu in history until now or the worst pandemic in the last 100 years. It spread worldwide from 1918 to 1919. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. Almost  500 Million people got infected with this virus. 50 Million people worldwide died due to this virus. Its symptoms are chills, fever, and fatigue.
